DRPA Certified Mediator / Legal Assistant

I chose to double major in Physics and Communication Studies… not a common pairing! It was actually my Physics studies (coupled with watching my parents separate… twice!) that drew me to Comm Studies. The connection between relationships and conflict resolution management intrigues me! I’ve seen how both matter AND relationships are improved or destroyed by internal and external forces. It’s all a unique mixture of science and heart! My interest in conflict resolution management more fully developed during my Interpersonal Conflict Resolution class… the class led me to explore the science behind how and why skilled communication works. A skilled communicator (mediator) makes discussing (and resolving) even the most contentious topics possible. I tested this hypothesis by first becoming a certified mediator and then putting my education to work at Kids Managing Conflict and OC Human Relations. I’m hooked! Working at Family Peacemaker allows me to apply my education, life experience, and analytical skills to help others better their relationships.
My passion is helping others, no matter what their age or education, gain the necessary tools to better communicate their wants and needs, and to feel heard (even in the most difficult of conversations). Facilitating constructive communication is what I do best.
My experience includes mediating issues between with couples, parents of special needs children, and youth and authority figures. My mission is to help people come together when things feel like they are coming apart. I look forward to working with you to resolve your most challenging matters.
