[ANAHEIM, CA —May 8, 2012]—Collaborative Professionals of California recently presented Bart J. Carey, Esq. with The Eureka Award. This award recognizes and honors those who have made significant contributions and demonstrated an abiding dedication to establishing and sustaining Collaborative Practice in California.
Mr. Carey was nominated for this award by his colleagues who describe him as a “visionary, dedicated leader, mentor, trailblazer and exceedingly competent collaborative practitioner”.
Over the past decade, Mr. Carey helped inspire and implement monthly Divorce Options workshops throughout Orange County and the Inland Empire and founded Collaborative Education Institute (www.cdei.org ). Both organizations have a mission of educating the community and professionals on the benefits of Collaborative Family practice.
In addition, Mr. Carey dedicates himself to furthering Collaborative Practice by mentoring law students, presenting to Chapman College Peace Studies students and is a certified trainer for the Collaborative Divorce Team Trainings.
The Eureka Award is not limited to those in any particular practice or career. Previous honorees include members of the core disciplines – mental health, financial, and legal – as well as those who are not licensed in these professions.
